How long have you lived in the area?

I moved to Northern Virginia in August 2010, and I’ve been in Alexandria for 3 yrs.

When did you start volunteering at VéloCity?

March 2016.  

What made you want to become a Véloteer?

I wanted to be more active in my community, while learning bicycle mechanics.

What keeps you volunteering in general and why do you like volunteering at VéloCity?

I like the interaction between the community. I also keep developing my talents as a mechanic.  

How do you usually use your bicycle? (leisure, transportation, fitness, etc.)

I typically use my bike for leisure, and transportation for chores etc…  

Describe the most enjoyable time you’ve had while on a bike? 

I would say the best times on my bike are going through the streets of DC, and discovering a new hidden landmark. Group bike rides are also a top favorite of mine.
