Vélocity is opening our warehouse Sunday March 24, 2024 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for an As-is bicycle sale. We’re calling this a mini-sale in that we simply throw open the warehouse doors and sell As-is bikes, parts, and accessories to help us make space in the warehouse. 

Our warehouse is located in the alley behind 1502 Mount Vernon Avenue. (We’re behind Al’s Steakhouse and the optical shop. Look for our Vélocity flag on the sidewalk.)

Our As-is sales feature hybrids, 90s mountain bikes, city bikes, beach cruisers, kids bikes, and vintage bikes of various types. We also have loads of As-is used bicycle parts and accessories such as trailers, car racks, bike racks, trainers, wheels, rims and frames. 

We anticipate having a few bicycles on hand that have been refurbished thoroughly at our warehouse, though refurbished bikes sell quickly. The majority of bikes at our As-is sales have not yet been deemed rideable by our team. Anticipate that As-is bikes will need a tuneup at the very least, and often significant mechanical work and parts (feel free to browse our selection of used parts). We encourage you to swing by and see if there’s something for you! 

Driving directions: street parking on Mt. Vernon Ave and various side streets. Please do not park in the alley.

Metro directions: we’re about a half-mile walk from Braddock Rd. Metro station.

Biking directions: Capital Bikeshare dock on Mt. Vernon Ave. in front of Al’s Steakhouse, and public rack for locking your bikes in on Mt Vernon Ave. in front of the optical shop.
