There are two ways to reserve a seat in this class:

  • Make a nonrefundable donation of $50 to Velocity when you are directed to the PayPal page.
  • If you cannot afford a donation, you may click away from the PayPal page instead of paying, but this will not reserve space for you in the class. You must email the instructor at courses@velocitycoop.org to request a seat for free for reasons of hardship. Your seat will not be reserved until the instructor emails you back to confirm.

**Class Details**

Location: Velocity Warehouse (rear of 1502 Mt Vernon Ave in Alexandria)

**What to Bring**
- A bicycle to work on
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty (shop aprons available)
- Questions! We encourage plenty of them.
 
**Class Topics**
- Dismount/remount wheels, minor wheel tuning for proper braking
- Remove tires and inner tubes, inspect rim tape, repair tubes (using shop tubes, not students’ tubes)
- Inspect and adjust brakes/cables
- Inspect crank arms and pedals, inspect and lubricate chain
- Inspect derailleur cables and make minor derailleur adjustments
 
**Important Notes**
This is a comprehensive class covering multiple topics. Due to time constraints:
- You won't be able to fully tune up your bike during class.
- The instructor cannot pause to troubleshoot individual bike repairs.
