Del Ray Shop DIY Hours

Every Wednesday evening, Vélocity opens the shop floor to the community. Bring your bike, use our stand and tools, and work through whatever needs fixing — with a pro mechanic available to guide you the whole time. No appointment, no experience necessary.

DIY hours are one of the best ways to learn how bikes actually work. Whether it’s a flat tire, a slipping derailleur, or something you’ve been meaning to fix for months — this is your time.

What to Bring

• A bicycle to work on
• Clothes you don’t mind getting a little greasy (shop aprons available)
• Your questions — mechanics love a good puzzle

Good to Know

• Walk-ins welcome — no RSVP required
• Tools and stand provided at no charge
• A suggested donation helps keep the lights on — pay what you can
• This is hands-on time, not a structured class — you work on your own bike with guidance
